Oracle Guardian
Few months back I go through one interesting diagnostic and troubleshooting oracle tool "Oracle Guardian". Please find the list of oracle guardian capabilities and usage of it below.
Guardian Capabilities:
Oracle Guardian:
• Is like a virus scanner for WebLogic Server
• Checks domains for common configuration and runtime problems and then recommends solutions
• Includes graphical and command-line interfaces
• May also scan other Oracle products running on WLS
• Is free to those who have an Oracle support account
• Can also help automate support-case creation
Usage of Guardian:
Use Guardian to evaluate domains:
• After their initial creation and setup
• As part of each development cycle, prior to production
• After any Oracle patch or service pack has been applied
• After introducing or upgrading any third-party software
• Periodically in production (each night, for example)
• While load or stress testing
Installation:
It's a two step process.
1] Weblogic Oracle Agent Installation.
2] Weblogic Oracle Guardian Installation.
Oracle Guardian Evaluation Report:
Please find the sample domain evaluation report that is generated using oracle guardian tool for one of my local domain.
More over it's generating report in PDF format which simplify our analyze and understanding.
