Secure Shell Client – Putty CM

About PuttyCM:

Putty connection Manager is based on Secure Shell client which is used for accessing SSH Sessions from Windows. PuttyCM comes with tab feature, it's gives polished look.

Usage of PuttyCM Effectively:

1.Download the putty.exe from the following link.

 http://code.google.com/p/httptool/downloads/detail?name=puttycm.zip&can=2&q

2. Once you opened that puttycm.exe it will as for putty.exe file load that putty.exe file from your system location.

3. Create a Database

4. Next name your database

5. Once the database creation completed, you will get a success message. In the right pane click on the Connection Manager Tab, there you find the database that you created.

6. Now click on the SSH folder and create a New->Connection Wizard.

7. Name your Connection Wizard

8. Enter the Ip Address or Host name

Leave the default port number.

9. Note: You need to remember one point here. I think it’s a bug with puttycm,  you need to enter the Login name(ex:root) in the place of password and give anything for the login field(Ex: Box1).

10. Once you double click the connection wizard created under database it will open up the putty and just ask for your password alone. This makes your life easier to live if you have 25 to 50 environments(servers) .
